Yes, it is. The Iowa Hawkeyes and Kirk Ferentz finally nab a major bowl win (the first for Ferentz, and the Hawkeyes’ first since McCarthyism), and my favorite college football season ever is capped off with an Iowa 24, Georgia Tech 14 victory that shouldn’t have been that close.

Yum.

Yum.

And by the way, I’m aware of the irony of gleefully considering a meaningless bowl win as pinnacle to my favorite season yet incessantly decrying the stupid pomp and circumstance and tradition of said bowls, so don’t bother pointing it out.

And speaking of awesome orange things (see above), Franklin approves of the Orange Bowl win. Yes, that’s my cat. Yes, I went there. Deal.
